James Pierre, a former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has agreed to a one-year contract to join Joe Whitt Jr.’s new defense in Washington. Alongside Pierre will be Larry Izzo, the new coordinator of special teams.

Following the 2020 NFL Draft, the Steelers signed James Pierre, a Florida Atlantic undrafted free agency. Although he was included on Pittsburgh’s original 53-man roster that season, he did not receive his first start until the following season. He played his greatest amount of snaps on defense(36%) in 2021, but has been employed on special teams for at least 45% of snaps in all four of his seasons with the Steelers.
