Milan now in to trigger a clause for another Prolific star

As per reports from Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan is preparing to trigger a clause that would extend Christian Pulisic’s contract until June 2028.

The captain of the USMNT has made a significant impact in Serie A, scoring ten goals in 29 league matches during the 2023-24 season.

Pulisic, who arrived at Milan from Chelsea in a €20 million deal last summer, has been hailed as the Rossoneri’s “best summer signing” in the publication’s Monday edition, with an impressive tally of 13 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions this season.

Although the 25-year-old’s current contract expires in June 2027, Milan holds an option to prolong it until 2028. The club is reportedly set on exercising this option, ensuring Pulisic’s presence for an additional season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Pulisic has embraced life in Italy and feels fully immersed in Milan’s project, even undertaking the task of learning Italian.

Throughout the season, Pulisic has demonstrated versatility by occupying various positions for Milan, including right winger, left winger, and attacking midfielder, as seen in the match against Lecce on Saturday.

Following Milan’s fifth consecutive Serie A victory on Saturday, manager Stefano Pioli praised Pulisic, emphasizing his positive attitude and professionalism.

“I’ve had numerous video calls to discuss the playing style, and I rarely misjudge the players. I already knew Pulisic’s quality, but during our video call, I sensed something very positive. He displayed great eagerness, curiosity, and interest in everything I had to say,” stated Pioli.

“He may not speak much, but his attitude speaks volumes. Pulisic’s attitude is fantastic; he’s an exemplary professional and hard worker who will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the team.”
