Reports suggest that Bundesliga clubs are expressing interest in Troy Parrott, the former Preston North End striker.
Parrott, who had a loan spell with PNE last season making 34 appearances, embarked on a temporary move to Excelsior Rotterdam this summer. During his time at the Eredivisie club, he has contributed seven goals and three assists. The 22-year-old is set to have one year remaining on his contract with Tottenham Hotspur this summer, having extended his deal before joining North End.
According to Football Insider, German Bundesliga teams are now reportedly considering a move for Troy Parrott ahead of the 2024/25 season. The report indicates that Tottenham Hotspur would be open to selling the Republic of Ireland international if they were to receive a suitable offer.
Earlier in the season, Parrott was linked with Dutch powerhouses Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord, and AZ Alkmaar.
During the previous season, Preston manager Ryan Lowe frequently deployed Parrott when he was available. However, the center-forward encountered a significant setback in early October, sustaining a serious hamstring injury during a match against Norwich City, which sidelined him for nearly four months. Despite the setback, Parrott managed to score four goals across all competitions. Prior to his time at Preston, Parrott had gained experience on loan spells with Millwall, Ipswich Town, and MK Dons.
