Following the match, chants of “grow some balls” were reportedly directed at the Milan players by the away supporters. The Italian powerhouse is set to face off against rivals Inter Milan in their upcoming match on Monday night, followed by a trip to Juventus the following Sunday.

The away supporters made sure their feelings were known as they addressed players and staff

Currently, Pioli’s team occupies the second spot in the Serie A standings, trailing Inter by 14 points but maintaining a six-point lead over Juventus. During the match, Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala managed to score for Daniele De Rossi’s team, with Matteo Gabbia securing a late consolation goal. Dybala’s strike was particularly noteworthy, as he skillfully curled a left-footed shot into the far corner of the net, providing his team with some breathing room in the match. On the other hand, Mancini’s goal marked his second of the tie, having previously scored at the San Siro to give his team an advantage heading into the return leg.

During the interval between their Europa League quarter-finals, Milan encountered a 3-3 draw against Sassuolo and will be aiming to bounce back with a win against Inter.

After triumphing over Milan, Roma is set to take on Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals of the competition, while Marseille and Atalanta are slated to face off in the next leg.

English teams Liverpool and West Ham exited the competition following 3-1 defeats against Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively.
