Chris Wood, a standout for Nottingham Forest, shared his thoughts on the club’s divisive remarks regarding the officiating during the Everton loss.
Nottingham Forest was defeated 2-0 by Everton; the Reds are upset over the officiating; Wood comments on the dispute
After Forest’s 2-0 loss to relegation-rival Everton on Sunday, the team claimed on X, previously Twitter, that referee Anthony Taylor and VAR official Stuart Attwell—who is purportedly a Luton Town supporter—should have handed them three penalties. The Tricky Trees are allegedly debating whether to file a lawsuit in response to Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville’s comment that the post was “like a mafia gang statement”. Now, forward Wood has shared his thoughts on the subject.
Forest was particularly displeased with the refereeing decisions, especially considering their precarious position just one point above the relegation zone, locked in a battle with Luton Town and Burnley. Adding to their woes, they were penalized four points for breaking financial regulations, a matter they are currently contesting. It might seem like the pressure is mounting for the Reds.
