Celtics Injury Report: The Celtics have confirmed another shocking injury of a top star in Boston.

Another startling injury to a prominent player has been announced by the Boston Celtics.

Boston — Before the Celtics’ matchup with the Pacers in Game 2 of the East Finals, they got some excellent news. After first listed as doubtful, Xavier Tillman’s injury is now considered probable for Thursday’s 8 p.m. game at TD Garden.

Tillman had personal reasons for missing Game 1 of the East Finals. Kristaps Porzingis is still sidelined with a strained right soleus, according to more injury news. Porzingis looks to be getting close to making a run at the conference finals, albeit it will probably happen the next week.

The Celtics gain from Tillman’s return because it provides them with another capable reserve option off the bench. Al Horford will remain the starting quarterback, with Luke Kornet likely to come off the bench first. Tillman has occasionally filled in throughout the postseason. For Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla’s rotation, that is a bonus.
