Commitment: Three-star OT Jim Harris Jr. commits to Virginia football

Jim Harris Jr., a three-star offensive tackle, committed to the Virginia Cavaliers on Monday, making him the team’s sixteenth recruit of the 2025 class.

According to 24/7sports, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound player from Muskegon High School is listed as the 21st player in Michigan and the 75th tackle in the nation. Harris will be the sole Michigan player on the team when he enrolls. Among others, he has offers from Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Indiana, and Pittsburgh.

Jon Adair and Grayson Reid are the other two offensive linemen that have committed to the class; Harris is the third. On June 14, he paid the ‘Hoos an official visit and got to know Adair and Reid. He added that the two o-linemen and wide receiver commit Dillon Newton-Short were “instrumental” in influencing his choice in an interview with 24/7sports.

During his junior year, he played 12 games and recorded 41 knockdown blocks and 16 attack blocks that led to touchdowns. His efforts contributed to his team’s offense gaining a total of 5,400 yards and winning the Division 2 state championship, their first since 2017.
