Chicago Sky’s star player and fan favorite has announced her wedding date, bringing joy to her supporters. The exciting news has been a highlight for both the team and the fans, as they eagerly anticipate celebrating this special occasion with the beloved athlete.

**Angel Reese and Chicago Sky Gear Up for Second Half of 2024 WNBA Season**

As the Chicago Sky and star player Angel Reese prepare for the second half of the 2024 WNBA season, the United States women’s basketball team competes in the Paris Olympics. On Thursday, while Reese and her teammates practiced, gymnasts Simone Biles and Suni Lee earned gold and bronze medals, respectively, in the Olympic individual all-around final.

The following day, Suni Lee celebrated her fifth Olympic gold medal on social media, expressing gratitude for the support she received throughout the Olympic journey. She shared photos of herself with her bronze medal, alongside Simone Biles and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade. Lee’s post reflected on her journey, saying, “From being told that I would never be able to do gymnastics again to winning my 5th Olympics medal!!! Grateful for the opportunity to represent Team USA at my second Olympic Games! Thank you for all the support.”

Angel Reese responded to Lee’s post with a message of encouragement, saying, “Proud of you queen.” Lee secured her bronze medal with a total score of 56.465, achieving scores of 14.000 on the beam, 13.666 on the floor, 13.900 on the vault, and 14.866 on the uneven bars.

Reese has been a steadfast supporter of Lee, Biles, and the entire U.S. gymnastics team throughout the Paris Olympics. Despite her rookie status, Reese has made a significant impact in the WNBA. At just 22 years old, she has become one of the league’s standout players, averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Her rebounding average is the second-highest in the WNBA, trailing only A’ja Wilson’s 12.0.

Reese’s impressive performance earned her a spot in the 2024 WNBA All-Star game, one of only two rookies selected, alongside Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. The two rookies are in close contention for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award. Clark has averaged 17.1 points and a league-leading 8.2 assists per game in the first half of the season.

As the Sky resume play after the Olympic break, Reese aims to build on her strong rookie season. The team’s first game back is scheduled for August 15 at 8 p.m. ET against the Phoenix Mercury.
