The Indiana Fever (11-4) are set to face the Dallas Wings (5-19) on July 17, marking their final game before the Olympic and All-Star break. The Fever, led by standout rookie Caitlin Clark, are aiming to extend their winning streak following an 81-74 victory over the Minnesota Lynx.

Ahead of the game, the Fever shared a video on social media showcasing the team’s arrival at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. Fans were quick to comment on Caitlin Clark’s summer style and Lexi Hull’s fashionable two-piece dress. However, the biggest surprise was Temi Fagbenle, who was spotted wearing a hard cast on her wrist, raising concerns among fans.

Fagbenle, who has been sidelined since July 2 due to a thumb injury, had previously been wearing an air-cast, making the hard cast a significant downgrade in her condition. The 31-year-old center has had a challenging season health-wise, having missed a considerable amount of time earlier in the season due to a foot injury. So far, she has appeared in just 11 games, averaging 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.

Fagbenle’s absence has been particularly difficult for the Fever, as she had quickly developed a strong on-court chemistry with Clark. Before her foot injury in late May, Fagbenle expressed admiration for Clark’s vision and playmaking ability, describing the rookie as one of the rare point guards who can anticipate plays before they happen.

As the Fever head into the nearly month-long break, there is hope that Fagbenle will be able to return to the lineup for their next game, a home matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on August 16. Her return would be a significant boost for the team as they look to continue their strong season.
