Duke Basketball Staff Just Made a Clever Move for the Boozer Twins

The recruiting team for Duke basketball stopped by the highly regarded prep school in between trips to two other competitive programs.
At the end of August, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, two of Columbus High School (Fla.) standouts, played basketball for Duke. A few days later, the Blue Devils received a visit from coaches from Florida and Miami, who were their main rivals for the five-star twin prospects as in-state candidates.

Duke Basketball Staff Makes Strategic Play for Boozer Twins

Thus, national recruiting insider Adam Zagoria reported that Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his team visited Columbus on Monday to re-establish their presence in the high-profile sweepstakes, following the Boozer brothers’ return from their trip to Florida and before their Miami tour, which is scheduled to start on Wednesday.
In other words, the hunt is narrowing down to the wire. And it seems like the Blue Devils are doing everything they can to win for the sons of forward Carlos Boozer, a two-time NBA All-Star and 2001 Duke basketball national champion.

Neither Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-4 point guard who checks in at No. 18 in the class, nor Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9 power forward who ranks No. 2 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, have disclosed a decision date.

However, considering their run of unofficial visits, the presumption that it’s a three-way competition, and the absence of any further scheduled travel announcements, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the highly sought-after talents make a decision in the upcoming weeks.

In May 2022, Scheyer made both twins an offer. In November of last year, he and his team gave them official tours of the school. Prior to their initial recruiting trip to Durham, the Boozers also made official trips to Miami and Florida last autumn.

Official forecasts have not been submitted by insiders for Cayden or Cameron Boozer. Maybe after they finish their trip to Miami this week, that will change.
