It appeared going into the season that the intention was for Ewers to lead the way in 2024 before handing over the QB1 position to Manning once Ewers went for the NFL. However, Texas cannot overlook Manning’s impressive on-field performance.
But Ewers is still a talented quarterback. It’s not that Ewers is having difficulty; rather, an injury has affected him. Manning’s chance to demonstrate his enormous potential has been made possible by his injury absence.
There are college football teams without a dependable quarterback. Texas, meanwhile, has two of the better choices in the game. Given Ewers’ injury, Manning might start in Week 4, but once both quarterbacks are recovered, it’s unclear who will be the regular starter going forward.
