Notre Dame defensive lineman Tyson Ford has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal. On Tuesday, Ford shared the news via social media, expressing gratitude for the support he’s received throughout his time at the university.
Ford thanked his teammates, coaches, and everyone who welcomed him and his family into the Notre Dame program. He reflected on the opportunity, saying, “As a child, I never imagined God would bless me in this way.
My journey is far from over. I will be entering the transfer portal after graduating in May, and I will enter with three years of eligibility remaining. Thank you, God, for the opportunity of a lifetime and even more in the future.”
A former four-star recruit from Missouri, Ford was ranked among the top 200 players in the 2022 recruiting class. However, his time at Notre Dame was hindered by injuries and health issues, preventing him from gaining significant playing time. Earlier this summer, the university announced that Ford would be placed on a medical scholarship moving forward.
