Huge Blow: He Is Out Of The Squad!! Mike Norvell Confirmed Another Top Talented Superstar Is Ruled Out

Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is expected to miss multiple weeks due to a hand injury suffered during the Seminoles’ recent loss to SMU. According to reports from CBS Sports/247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Brendan Sonnone, as well as ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Uiagalelei broke a finger on his throwing hand in the game, which is more serious than initially thought.

With Uiagalelei sidelined, freshman quarterback Brock Glenn is set to start for the Seminoles in their upcoming game against Clemson. Glenn stepped in for Uiagalelei during the fourth quarter of the 42-16 loss to SMU, marking his first game action of the 2024 season. He is now listed as a co-starter on the Seminoles’ depth chart. If he starts, it will be Glenn’s third career start, following his appearances in the ACC Championship Game against Louisville and the Orange Bowl against Georgia.

When discussing the quarterback situation, Florida State’s coaching staff indicated that they will continue to evaluate Uiagalelei’s condition throughout the week.

They acknowledged that the injury to his hand played a role in the decision to bring Glenn into the game against SMU. Despite the team’s struggles, Glenn showed some positive signs in his limited action, although there were missed opportunities, including a vertical shot that could have resulted in a touchdown.

Uiagalelei’s first season at Florida State has been challenging, as he currently holds a 1-4 record as a starter. He has thrown for 1,065 yards with a completion percentage of 53.8%, and his touchdown-to-interception ratio stands at 4-6.

Florida State is set to face Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium this Saturday at 7 p.m., with the game being broadcast on ESPN. The Seminoles enter the matchup as 13.5-point underdogs, according to Fanduel.
