The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Nikita Prishchepov to a three-year entry-level contract. Prishchepov, a 20-year-old from Orenburg, Russia, had an impressive 2023-24 season in the QMJHL with the Victoriaville Tigres, where he tallied 67 points (22 goals, 45 assists) in 63 games. Notably, he led the team with five shorthanded goals and contributed in the postseason with 11 points (3 goals, 8 assists) in 14 games.
In his QMJHL career, Prishchepov amassed 135 points (45 goals, 90 assists) across 191 games and added further playoff experience with 19 postseason contests. Before his time in the QMJHL, he played in Russia’s MHL, collecting 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) in 37 games with Russkie Vityazi.
The Avalanche selected Prishchepov in the seventh round (217th overall) of the 2024 NHL Draft. He will now join the Colorado Eagles in the AHL to continue his development.
