The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with quarterback Brett Rypien on a one-year contract, pending a physical exam.

Rypien, 27, has played in 10 NFL games, starting in four across four seasons with the Denver Broncos (2020-22) and Los Angeles Rams (2023). Over his career, he has completed 58.3% of his passes for 950 yards, throwing four touchdowns and nine interceptions with a passer rating of 59.9.

Rypien entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, joining the Broncos after a college career at Boise State. He played eight games with three starts in Denver from 2020 to 2022 before starting one game with the Rams last season.
