On Tuesday, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers addressed a story regarding his 2025 season plans.
During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers was questioned on a claim from TheAthletic.com’s Dianna Russini that he wants to play on but does not want to play for the Jets. The only thing Rodgers has spoken regarding his future with the Jets is that he wants to see what the organization does in terms of coaching and personnel changes after clearing house this season. He labeled the claim “100 percent false.”
“I’m not jumping off the ship.” Rodgers stated, “I really want to play, but not in New York.” “My first choice would be New York, but I’m not even sure if I want to play yet.”
Despite his injured Achilles in 2023 and the team’s poor performance this season, Rodgers stated that the decision to rejoin the Jets is not solely in his hands and that “it’s been two really beautiful years” with the franchise.
