Arkansas Lands 4-Star QB Madden Iamaleava in Flip from UCLA
Arkansas made a significant addition to its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday by signing four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava, who flipped his commitment from UCLA.
About Madden Iamaleava
Iamaleava, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback from Long Beach, California, is a consensus four-star prospect, earning high marks from 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. He received offers from numerous programs, including Tennessee, Oregon, Ole Miss, SMU, and Washington. ESPN ranks him as the No. 13 pocket-passing quarterback and the No. 143 overall recruit in the 2025 class.
The talented quarterback is the younger brother of Nico Iamaleava, who plays for Tennessee, further adding to the family’s reputation for producing high-level talent at the position.
Recruitment and Decision
Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and assistant quarterbacks coach Miles Fishback led the efforts to recruit Iamaleava. Their persistence paid off as the Razorbacks secured a major coup by flipping him from UCLA, strengthening their quarterback room for the future.
In addition to Iamaleava, Arkansas also flipped another UCLA commit on Wednesday, three-star wide receiver Jace Brown, adding further depth to its offensive arsenal.
What’s Next
Iamaleava plans to enroll at Arkansas in January, allowing him to participate in spring practices. This early arrival will give him an opportunity to adapt to the Razorbacks’ system and begin competing for a spot in the quarterback rotation.
This signing marks a key win for Arkansas on the recruiting trail, with Iamaleava expected to make an impact in the years to come.
