A seventh-round draft pick from Purdue, Trice missed his rookie season with a torn ACL. He began this year with promise, including his first career interception against the Denver Broncos, before the hamstring setback temporarily sidelined him.

As for Ward, the Steelers may look to re-sign him to their practice squad for running back depth.
