Top Talented superstar Waived by the Commanders
The Washington Commanders have waived Emmanuel Forbes, their 2023 first-round draft pick, as announced on Friday.
Forbes played in 14 games during his rookie season, recording 38 tackles (35 solo) and 11 pass defenses, including one interception. He started six games in 2023 but has struggled for playing time in 2024. This season, he made only one start and missed five games—two due to a thumb injury and three as a healthy scratch.
In his final appearance for Washington in Week 10 against Pittsburgh, Forbes was limited to just two defensive snaps.
His reduced role signaled a shift in the Commanders’ plans, leading to his release.
Now seeking a fresh opportunity, the Mississippi State alum will aim to restart his NFL career with a new team.
