ESPN REPORT: Seahawks Welcome Another Top Experienced Superstar To Squad

Seahawks Activate  from Injured Reserve

The Seattle Seahawks have bolstered their offensive line depth by activating fourth-year offensive tackle Stone Forsythe from injured reserve. This move fills the roster spot left open after the team released veteran cornerback Artie Burns.

Forsythe, who started five games at right tackle earlier this season due to injuries to George Fant and Abraham Lucas, landed on injured reserve with a hand injury. He returned to practice three weeks ago, setting the stage for his activation.

In his absence, rookie Mike Jarrell stepped in and started two games, often showing improvement over Forsythe’s performances. Meanwhile, Abraham Lucas made his return to the starting lineup at right tackle and has solidified his position since.

Forsythe’s role moving forward will likely focus on providing depth at both offensive tackle spots. He could also take on duties as a swing tackle if needed. However, with Jarrell’s promising—albeit inconsistent—play and Lucas’s firm grip on the right tackle role, the Seahawks may opt to ease Forsythe back into action rather than rushing him into the rotation.
