Kansas State Adds USC Offensive Lineman
Kansas State has strengthened its offensive line with the addition of Amos Talalele, a transfer from USC. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound lineman announced his decision to join the Wildcats on Monday.
Hailing from Santa Clara, California, Talalele played in six games as a redshirt freshman during the 2024 season with the Trojans before entering the transfer portal.
A 2023 Polynesian Bowl participant, Talalele originally committed to California before flipping to USC. In his first college season, he logged 102 snaps for the Trojans. Coming out of high school, he was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports and ranked as the No. 43 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class. The 247Sports Composite Score listed him as the No. 469 overall prospect. He received offers from several major programs, including USC, California, Arizona, and Washington.
During his 2024 season at USC, Talalele earned a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 57.1 overall, with a 29.6 pass-blocking grade and a 62.3 run-blocking grade. His versatility was evident, as he played multiple positions along the Trojans’ offensive line.
How Kansas State utilizes Talalele’s skills within its offensive line remains to be seen, but his size and experience could prove valuable for the Wildcats as they prepare for the upcoming season.
