Auburn Tigers Land Top Transfer Portal Wide Receiver.

The Auburn Tigers have made a major splash in the transfer portal by signing former Georgia Tech star Eric Singleton Jr., ranked as the nation’s No. 1 transfer portal wide receiver by 247Sports. This addition significantly bolsters Auburn’s offensive firepower heading into the upcoming season.

Singleton, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound sophomore from Douglasville, Georgia, has been a standout performer during his two seasons with Georgia Tech. Starting 22 of 24 games, he tallied an impressive 104 receptions for 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns. In the 2024 season, he led the Yellow Jackets in receiving with 754 yards.

Originally a three-star recruit out of high school, Singleton had offers from several prominent programs, including Auburn, Michigan State, and Nebraska. Now a four-star transfer, his decision to join Auburn addresses a key need for the Tigers, particularly as they look to replace KeAndre Lambert-Smith. Lambert-Smith led Auburn in 2024 with 50 receptions for 981 yards and tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with Cam Coleman at eight.

Singleton’s arrival further solidifies Auburn’s commitment to enhancing its receiving corps. He joins Horatio Fields, a four-star transfer from Wake Forest ranked No. 27 overall and No. 9 among wide receivers in the transfer portal, as the second wideout Auburn has added this offseason. Additionally, the Tigers secured three wide receiver recruits, including four-star Derick Smith and three-stars Sam Turner and Erick Smith.

Auburn’s aggressive approach in the transfer market has resulted in a strong portal class, now ranked fourth nationally by 247Sports, trailing only Texas Tech, LSU, and Ole Miss. With Singleton’s addition, the Tigers have brought in 14 transfers, reinforcing both their depth and talent at key positions.

Eric Singleton Jr.’s dynamic playmaking ability and proven track record make him a critical piece of Auburn’s offensive puzzle as they aim to remain competitive in the SEC. His presence, combined with the team’s other acquisitions, sets the stage for an exciting and promising season ahead.
