The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) selected Alabama freshman Ryan Williams to their Freshman All-America Team on Tuesday.
For his efforts as a freshman, Williams was named to five All-America teams, including two from 247Sports, three from On3, Pro Football Focus, and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). In addition, he was named to the Associated Press’ Second Team All-SEC and the First Team All-SEC by the coaches. He was also named Freshman All-SEC.
Williams topped Alabama in receiving yards (865), touchdowns (8), and receptions (48), putting him in second place on the team. Second place went to the SEC, followed by all Division I freshman receivers with eight points apiece.
Today does not have any Crimson Tide athletic activities planned.
