Alabama freshman Ryan Williams was named to the Freshman All-America Team by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) on Tuesday.

Williams has been recognized with five All-America honors: two from 247Sports and three from On3, Pro Football Focus, and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) for his work as a freshman. Not only that, but the coaches selected him to First Team All-SEC and Freshman All-SEC, while the Associated Press placed him on Second Team All-SEC.

Williams had 48 receptions, good for second on the squad, and led Alabama in receiving yards (865) and touchdowns (8). Both the SEC and all of Division I freshmen receivers tied for second place with eight scores.

No Crimson Tide athletic events scheduled for today.
