The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a huge deal worth $72 million over four years with former Baltimore Orioles, Miami Marlins, and San Diego Padres left-handed relief pitcher Tanner Scott. The deal was first reported by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Given the Phillies’ bullpen losses to the Toronto Blue Jays and the apparent impending loss of fellow free agent Carlos Estévez, the Phillies were expected to look for significant upgrades in the bullpen and possibly be a serious suitor for Scott.
