Shortly after the Jacksonville Jaguars fired general manager Trent Baalke this week, rumors circulated that offensive coordinator Liam Coen of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may give Jacksonville another go at head coaching. According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Coen had accepted a new deal with the Buccaneers that would have made him “the highest-paid coordinator in NFL history, and by a healthy margin.”

It was revealed later Thursday night that Coen would accept the Jacksonville position. This defection appears to have caused a strong reaction from the Buccaneers.
