JUST IN: Duke Fans Lure Top Transfer to Replace Cooper Flagg

Duke Fans Eye Top Transfer Target to Fill Void Left by Cooper Flagg

After putting up 17.9 points per game in his sophomore season with the Cal Golden Bears, 6’7″ wing Andrej Stojakovic has entered the NCAA transfer portal once again. The former Stanford recruit and son of NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic entered with a “Do Not Contact” tag—often a sign that he already has a preferred landing spot.

In 29 games at Cal, Stojakovic led the team in scoring while contributing 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks per contest, drawing interest from several high-profile programs.

Duke is rumored to be among the frontrunners, although nothing official has been announced. The speculation has already stirred excitement among fans. One wrote, “Looks like either Duke or Kentucky. Programs that actually spend,” while another simply stated, “I’d love this get.”

Duke Blue Devils forward Cooper Flagg

@JLuc610 echoed the enthusiasm, tweeting, “Pay that man whatever it takes #duke,” and @Sterls10k added, “Duke might be a good fit for him.” Rival fans also chimed in—UNC supporters questioning their team’s inactivity and an Illinois fan confidently declaring, “Illinois. Confirmed.”

For Duke, landing a player like Stojakovic could be crucial. Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg is projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and fellow standout Kon Knueppel has also declared for the pros. The Blue Devils are also losing veterans Mason Gillis and Sion James to graduation, and five-star commit Shelton Henderson recently decommitted.

If Stojakovic does choose Duke, it would mark the return of a long-time target and deliver an immediate scoring boost to a roster undergoing significant change
