A man has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder following an injury caused by gunfire in Leicester. The event involving the firearm is still being investigated.
Police were called to Mulberry Avenue, Braunstone Frith, just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, in response to allegations of a gun being discharged. The driver of a halted car was hurt when the gunshot entered the vehicle.
The man in his 30s who was inside the automobile, according to the police, only had minor wounds. Officers have made an arrest while conducting continuing investigations.
Leicestershire Police stated in a statement that a 48-year-old male had been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder. The individual is still being held by police after being taken into custody on Sunday, February 5.
The shooting is still being looked into by the police. Mulberry Avenue is still under scene preservation, and the police are urging anybody with knowledge to come forward.
