The Brazilian international hasn’t played in recent weeks due to a thigh injury he suffered during last month’s FA Cup match at the London Stadium against Bristol City.
Due to the injury, the former Lyon player had to fly to Spain for recuperation; however, as was previously announced, Paqueta has now made his way back to Rush Green in an attempt to accelerate his recuperation, which is now looking more likely.
ExWHUEmployee said that there is a remote possibility he will play in Sunday’s Arsenal match, albeit it is currently thought to be doubtful.
But Paqueta, the Brazil maverick, has now resorted to social media to encourage our Hammers supporters, implying that his comeback is imminent.
“Excited to return to doing what I enjoy,” Paqueta stated. “Short.”
If Paqueta returns, it would surely be a tremendous lift for everyone associated with the club, as his absence in recent weeks has been noticeable in West Ham’s performances and in their lack of inventiveness in the game.
This Sunday, our Hammers take on the Gunners with the aim of defeating the north London team for the third time in their history.
Even while it seems doubtful that Paqueta will play this weekend in the London Derby, he has undoubtedly increased expectations.
