John Eustace, who just signed for Blackburn Rovers, will soon be returning to St Andrew’s, according to the most recent news on Birmingham City via BirminghamLive.
On Tuesday, John Eustace, the new head coach of Blackburn Rovers, makes his first visit back to Birmingham City and he says he has nothing to prove.
Despite Blues’ sixth-place standing in the Championship following back-to-back home victories, Knighthead fired Brummie manager Eustace in October and replaced him with Wayne Rooney. Tony Mowbray, the former Blackburn manager, is currently guiding the team at St Andrew’s after Rooney’s terrible spell was ended a month ago.
Eustace has moved on and accepted the chance to take Jon Dahl Tomasson’s post at Ewood Park last week, marking his official return to management. Eustace officially takes charge for the Blues game after watching Rovers upset Stoke City 3-1 on Saturday.
He adds a little spice to a game that Blues owner Tom Wagner is expected to watch from the away dugout. “It’s just another game for me, I had a fantastic time at Birmingham,” Eustace said.
