Nottingham Forest’s current news may be found on NottinghamshireLive while they wait to hear the outcome of their FFP accusation.
According to reports, Nuno Espirito Santo told his Nottingham Forest players something following the club’s alleged violation of the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Everton and the Reds were accused of violating PSR in January. The Toffees were also accused of violating Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations in November of last year. As a result, they were immediately docked 10 points; they have since filed an appeal, and the outcome is expected to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
Five days after the last day of the 2023–24 Premier League season, on May 24, at the latest, Forest will learn the result of their case. Leading sports attorney Nick De Marco, a KC with London’s Blackstone Chambers, was chosen by the Reds to handle the matter.
Furthermore, specifics of Nuno’s initial remarks to the Forest players following the charge’s announcement in January have been published by the Daily Telegraph. According to the reports, Nuno assembled the Reds team in a conference room and instructed them to “avoid uncertainty.” He also mentioned that players “could only focus on their jobs on the pitch and train properly,” they continue.
In the eight games after their FFP charge was revealed on January 15, Forest has won three of them. The club’s only wins since the announcement are the 2-0 league victory over West Ham on Saturday and the FA Cup replay triumphs over Bristol City and Blackpool.
After the accusation was made public, Nuno addressed the media and stated, “As a coach, it’s nothing I have to think about or deal with, but we are all concerned in the club.” We’re concentrating on getting the team ready since that’s my clearly defined role.
“Let’s forget about this and concentrate on our job. We know the players are aware of the situation, but we will train today. Let me tell them the same thing I’m telling you.”
