There are contradicting reports about the departure of an important AC Milan player before the transfer window shuts.

There are conflicting reports circulating regarding whether Marseille are interested in signing Alexis Saelemaekers from AC Milan before the window closes.

Saelemaekers was left out of Milan’s squad entirely last night for the Serie A opener against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara along with Divock Origi and Fode Ballo-Toure, suggesting he is not part of the plans.

Saelemaekers wants to confirm himself as a starter for Milan after rejecting interest from Bundesliga sides

MilanNews journalist Antonio Vitiello even reported that Saelemaekers was gutted to not be making the trip with his team-mates to Reggio-Emilia. In fact, the journalist says that he is ‘very hurt’ by being excluded entirely.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Saelemaekers may have a route out of Milan because Marseille have enquired about the possibility of an initial loan deal with an option to buy that would be valid next summer.

However, Fabrizio Romano instantly refuted these claims with his own tweet, suggesting the Ligue 1 side are not interested in the Belgian winger.
