BREAKING NEWS : This is ‘Nonsense’ – Andy Gray launches stinging attack in Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool row

Darwin Nunez’s late victory spurred protest, and Andy Gray has launched a stinging assault on the refereeing in Nottingham Forest’s contentious 1-0 loss to Liverpool on Saturday. The effect from Forest’s loss to Liverpool is still being felt.

Up until Darwin Nunez headed home Alexis Mac Allister’s precise cross in the ninth minute of extra time, Forest appeared to have fought their way to a 0-0 draw.

But only a few minutes prior, referee Paul Tierney blew up for a head injury inside the Liverpool penalty area as Forest was on the offensive and Callum Hudson-Odoi was in control in the final third.

However, when play resumed, the visitors—rather than Forest, as it should have—were given credit for an uncontested drop ball. That led to demonstrations at the conclusion of the match, a ton of commentary, and maybe even an official protest.

Feeling unimpressed, Pundit Gray said to Bein Sports, “That’s the whole point of it, give it back to the team in possession.” A team in control of the ball cannot be taken away and the opposition told, “Here you go, you’ve got the football.”

That is absurd. They had worked so hard and put so much into it that they were enraged. really difficult.

“It’s a basic refereeing error and it shouldn’t happen at this level,” colleague Richard Keys continued.
