Wolves is seeking a club record sum of approximately £60 million for the Portuguese wide player, Neto, who is preparing for a move from Molineux.

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, greatly admires Neto and acknowledges that he might need to make concessions to secure the player. Miguel Almiron stands out as a potential candidate for Newcastle to sell, having attracted significant interest from Saudi Arabia in the recent January transfer window. Bruno Guimaraes is drawing attention from various top European clubs, but Howe is hesitant to part with the Brazilian international. There’s a possibility that midfielder Joelinton could depart, as negotiations for a new contract have not been successful thus far.

In addition to their pursuit of Neto, Newcastle is actively interested in Lloyd Kelly, a center-back from Bournemouth who is available on a free transfer.

He’s a keeper

Liverpool is anticipating a challenge in retaining goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. The goalkeeper has showcased outstanding performances while standing in for the injured first-choice Alisson in the last seven matches, contributing to Liverpool’s success over Chelsea in the EFL Cup final.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager, has openly acknowledged that the Republic of Ireland international was considering a move last summer due to his frustration at being Alisson’s backup. Despite Alisson’s continued presence, the 25-year-old Kelleher now faces a significant decision regarding his future.

Celtic is considering Caoimhin Kelleher as a potential replacement for Joe Hart, and Nottingham Forest is also keeping an eye on him, particularly if they manage to avoid relegation. Additionally, Chelsea is actively searching for a new goalkeeper to fill the void left by the unwanted Robert Sanchez.

The Mainoo man

Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly unfazed about his future with Manchester United and is dedicated to the club, according to information from talkSPORT. There are indications that Manchester United is prepared to significantly increase Mainoo’s wages, potentially tripling them, in an effort to persuade him to extend his contract with the club.

But having only penned a deal keeping him at Old Trafford until at least 2027 early last year, the 18-year-old is preferring to focus on establishing himself in United’s starting XI rather than rush negotiations.

New minority owner Sir Jim Ractliffe wants to build the Red Devils’ future around young players like Mainoo and summer targets Michael Olise and Jarrad Branthwaite.

An emotional return

On Wednesday, Tom Lockyer, the captain of Luton, will make a poignant comeback to Bournemouth.

Lockyer has received an invitation from the Cherries to be a special guest at the rescheduled meeting between Bournemouth and the Hatters, which will be broadcast live on talkSPORT. The original match in December was abandoned when Lockyer experienced a dramatic collapse due to a cardiac arrest.

The upcoming event includes arrangements for Lockyer to be acknowledged on the pitch as a gesture of gratitude towards the Bournemouth fans for their support during the incident and to honor the medics who played a crucial role in saving his life.
