Braves News: Ronald Acuña Jr. injury update, roster cuts, and more, the top star give a terrible news about his playing

The Atlanta Braves received some encouraging news on Tuesday regarding Ronald Acuña Jr.’s knee injury. The team announced that the current MVP should be prepared on Opening Day.
Acuña, 26, suffered the injury on Friday in the same knee that required ACL reconstruction a few years prior. However, this injury does not present a serious risk.

“Today, I think I can play,” Acuña said to reporters on Tuesday. I will, however, play when they say I can. I feel fantastic,” he continued.

The Braves and Acuña are scheduled to begin the season in Philadelphia on March 28.

More Braves News:

On Tuesday, the Braves made a number of roster cuts that resulted in the minor league camps of Grant Holmes, Jake Walsh, Phillip Evans, Leury Garcia, and Alejo Lopez.

The Braves defeated the Detroit Tigers 3-0 thanks to the efforts of Tyler Matzek, Charlie Morton, and Spencer Strider. Skye Bolt, an outfielder who recently joined the Braves minor league team, made his debut during Spring Training.

We’re continuing our series of team-by-team season previews with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The top overall pick in 2023, Paul Skenes, will start the season in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ minor system.

Braxton Garrett, a left-hander for the Miami Marlins, will miss Opening Day due to pain in his left shoulder.

Sonny Gray, the ace of the St. Louis Cardinals, is questionable for Opening Day due to a right hamstring issue.

Lucas Giolito, a right-hander for the Boston Red Sox, has been diagnosed with a flexor strain and a partial UCL tear. Surgery that ends the season is feasible.

Justin Verlander, the ace of the Houston Astros, will start the season on the disabled list. Verlander’s shoulder ailment kept him from participating in Spring Training, but there was no relapse that led to his placement to the IL.
