“Today, James and his family visited @cooltodaypark to play catch with @ronaldacunajr13 and achieve his dream of going to a Spring Training game! James got to run the bases, meet the players, watch batting practice, and get his baseball cards signed during his visit, according to the Atlanta Braves Foundation on Instagram. “James is 7 years old and wants to be the first-ever Braves player with Cystic Fibrosis.”

“The mission of the Atlanta Braves Foundation is to build community through baseball engaging Braves Country, reaching vulnerable populations, and improving equity and access in sport, health, education, and well-being outcomes for children, families, and communities,” according to the website of the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

The Braves organization and its players completely support this organization. When a Braves player signs a contract extension, one of the most prevalent trends is that they choose to donate 1% of their salary to the Atlanta Braves Foundation; this is not required under the terms of the contract.
