A day following her declaration for the WNBA Draft, Angel Reese reflected on the whirlwind experience that accompanied her announcement.

The Elite Eight game between LSU and Iowa on Monday night marked the most-watched game in women’s college basketball history, ending in LSU’s defeat.

On Wednesday, Reese officially declared the end of her college career with an announcement in Vogue Magazine, confirming her transition to the WNBA.

The decision to reveal her plans through a non-sports platform echoed the approach taken by tennis legend Serena Williams when announcing her retirement, also through Vogue Magazine.

With the WNBA Draft scheduled for April 15, Reese is poised as a probable candidate to be selected within the top three picks.

Oh my. I want to thank EVERYONE for their overwhelming love and support yesterday, even if I wasn’t able to process it all. Reese made a post on X. “It was iconic to make my announcement with VOGUE.”

“In this new world I’m entering, please have faith in me, believe in me, and give me time to grow and learn.” Reese went on.

Reese made her public debut at the New Orleans Pelicans game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, following her announcement of leaving LSU.

Caitlin Clark, an Iowa wonder, has long been associated with the Indiana Fever selecting her first overall in this month’s draft.

The Los Angeles Sparks, who have the second overall pick, may be interested in Reese.

The group who put Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie on display might be the ones turning Reese into a franchise star next.

Playing for the Tigers, Reese earned the nickname “Bayou Barbie.” Perhaps ‘Hollywood Barbie’ will go by another moniker.
