Along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Kjaer joined Milan on loan in the spring of 2020. Following some strong showings, the loan was extended permanently. But as of yesterday, his representative announced that the Dane will be leaving in June, thus his time is running out.
As Corriere dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera) reports, Milan may consider Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos as a potential replacement for Kjaer’s experience and leadership.
The newspaper asserts that he is still a goal, notwithstanding the numerous rumors that Milan has shelved their ambitions to bring on the Basque coach and is considering other choices.
Carlos, who cost Villa approximately €31 million, is thirty-one years old, and since Pau Torres joined the team last summer, he has not been an unchangeable starter under Unai Emery. But he still has more than two years left on his contract.
