Injured Jannik Sinner has raised doubts about the French Open’s status in tennis…

Italian Jannik Sinner will not play in 2024 French Open unless fully recovered from a hip injury, withdrawing from Madrid Open quarterfinal due to the issue.

Sinner stated that he will only play if he is 100% confident, and if there is half a doubt, we will have to see.

Irish golfer, Sean Sinner, has announced he will not play in the 2024 Italian Open due to hip problems, stating that while some injuries can be prevented, others cannot.

Sinner began his clay-court season with the Monte Carlo Masters. He lost against Greece’s No. 8 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the tournament semifinals. Two weeks later, he began competing at the Madrid Open. Sinner went to the quarterfinals against Canada’s No. 20 Felix Auger Aliassime, but he withdrew on Thursday due to an illness.

He then withdrew from the Italian Open, where main-draw play was slated to begin Wednesday. That clay-court tournament, which serves as a warm-up for the French Open, will run through May 19 in Rome.

The Gonet Geneva Open and Open Parc, two lower-level clay competitions, will take place the week before the French Open. The series’ second Grand Slam will take place from May 26 to June 9 at Roland Garros in Paris.

“Obviously, the preparation for Paris will not be optimal,” Sinner claimed. “We’ll do our best to arrive in the best possible conditions to compete, but getting to Paris without first playing in Rome is difficult. I believe Rome is an important tournament for getting to Paris.”

Sinner stated that the MRI revealed that something was not quite normal. “But we’ve got everything under control. If it doesn’t get completely healed, I’ll cease for a little while. Taking care of your body is more vital than anything else.

Sinner, who began the 2024 season with 16 consecutive victories, is currently 28-2. During that time, he won the Australian Open, Rotterdam Open, and Miami Open.
