Keisei Tominaga, a former guard for Nebraska, has earned a chance to play in the NBA, a report from Friday morning stated.
The Indiana Pacers have signed Tominaga to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to a report by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
A one-year, non-guaranteed minimum salary contract known as an Exhibit 10 contract is essentially a tryout opportunity that is not deducted from an NBA team’s salary cap. Attachments to the contracts may allow players to receive bonuses in the event that they are signed to a G-League team after being waived.
Among the teams Tominaga worked out before the draft this spring were the Pacers.
In 2023–24, Tominaga had his greatest season yet, scoring 15.1 points per game and setting career highs in almost all offensive categories on his way to being named to the second team of the Big Ten. In terms of 3-pointers made per game, he was sixth in the Big Ten, and his 76 makes rank eighth on NU’s single-season leaderboard.
Tominaga played a significant role in Nebraska’s 23-11 campaign, which saw the team earn a spot in its first NCAA Tournament since 2014. In the NCAA Tournament loss to Texas A&M, Tominaga scored 21 points and drained five 3-pointers.
Tominaga signed a promotional deal with the Curry Brand, becoming the first international athlete to do so after completing his college career.
