Derek Meadows announced his verbal commitment to LSU on Saturday, choosing them over Alabama, Notre Dame, and other schools. Meadows, a five-star wide receiver from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, had been hosted by Alabama for an official visit last month, making them a strong contender for his commitment.

Recently, Alabama secured a commitment from five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham and remains in contention for five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett. It appears that Alabama will continue to recruit wide receivers throughout the season.
