Falcons wide receiver Drake London made the game-winning extra point harder to convert after scoring the game-tying touchdown on Monday night by incurring a 15-yard celebration penalty. However, Raheem Morris, the coach of the Falcons, is defending London.
Because London’s celebration seemed to imitate firing a gun—which is prohibited by NFL regulations—he was reported. Morris stated that while he was blind to what London did in the moment, he is sure that London didn’t mean any damage and won’t do it again.

Morris’s assertion that London was genuinely firing a t-shirt cannon may seem like an absurd justification, but Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo’s 48-yard extra point rendered it irrelevant. The Falcons were unaffected by the punishment, and Morris is certain that London is now aware of the regulation.
