The Denver Broncos have bolstered their practice squad by signing veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander, a former Pro Bowler. Alexander, who visited the team earlier in the week, was already practicing with the Broncos on Wednesday.

Alexander is coming off a serious Achilles tendon injury, which he sustained last year while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite the injury, he had recorded 41 tackles in nine games before being sidelined.

In addition to his time with the Steelers, Alexander had a notable stint with the New Orleans Saints, where he played 19 games from 2020 to 2021 under Sean Payton, who is now the Broncos’ head coach. Alexander earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2017 while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since leaving the Buccaneers in 2018, he has played for five different teams, including Denver.

The Broncos are hoping Alexander can return to his former Pro Bowl form as they look to improve their season. Currently, Denver holds a 1-2 record, coming off a road win against the Buccaneers. Their next challenge is a Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets, who stand at 2-1.
