The Las Vegas Raiders have signed wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. to an undisclosed contract. Marshall, who was initially waived by the Carolina Panthers at the end of training camp, joined the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad briefly before being released last week. A former second-round pick by Carolina in 2021 out of LSU, the 24-year-old receiver caught 64 passes on 110 targets for 767 yards and a single touchdown across 36 games (16 starts) over his first three NFL seasons. Now in Las Vegas, Marshall is expected to add depth to the Raiders’ receiving corps, which has seen major shifts, including the recent trade of All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to the New York Jets. Currently, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, and DJ Turner lead the Raiders’ receiving unit, with Tyreik McAllister and Alex Bachman also on the roster. Despite the move, Marshall remains off the radar for fantasy football purposes.
The Las Vegas Raiders recently signed free-agent wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. to their practice squad on October 22, 2024. Previously, Marshall was a second-round draft pick for the Carolina Panthers in 2021, but his time there didn’t meet expectations, leading to his release at the end of the 2024 preseason. This new deal with the Raiders is aimed at bolstering their receiver depth after trading away star Davante Adams. With a limited NFL record—catching 64 passes for 767 yards and one touchdown across three seasons—Marshall will have an opportunity in Vegas to potentially expand his role, though as a practice squad member, he is positioned for developmental or injury-replacement situations.
