SO BAD Chiefs Anticipated to Lose Key Player to Bills

With the exception of the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs have defeated nearly every club they have faced this season. On November 17, the Chiefs lost to the Bills 30–21, a game many Chiefs supporters probably wish they could forget.

According to one NFL analyst and expert, the Bills might sign a defensive player from the Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason.

Buffalo Bills Need a ‘Pass-Rush Specialist’

Bleacher Report’s Matt Holder stated in a piece published on December 2 that examined every team’s roster heading into Week 14 that he thinks the Buffalo Bills might select Kansas City Chiefs edge-rusher Josh Uche in 2025 free agency.

Holder states in the article that he thinks the Bills need a talented edge-rusher more than anything else, but he also asserts that the squad is “as big a threat to win the AFC as anyone at this point.”

Holder says Buffalo has “successfully transitioned from a lot of experienced players this season,” which helps explain where Uche slots in. He claims that despite those losses, the Bills have managed to win games.

Holder then projects that linebacker Von Miller will be cut by the Bills in the offseason.

“They can wait until June 2 to reach $17.5 million in savings, or they can cut the veteran before June 1 and save $8.5 million against the cap,” he said. In any case, the Bills might be searching for a pass-rush specialist to replace Miller. Although Gregory Rousseau is the star of the Bills’ edge-rusher group, Uche would make a useful backup.

Josh Uche is a Recent Trade From the Patriots

Since the New England Patriots traded Uche to the Chiefs in October, he has been a hot topic in the NFL lately.

Mike Dussault of Patriots.com said in a story on the transfer on October 28 that “Kansas City is unlikely to ask Uche to do anything other than what he does best, get after the quarterback.” “How renowned defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo uses his newest pass-rushing piece, though, will be interesting to watch.”

Bill Belichick selected Uche in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft, which brings us to his past with the Patriots. During his time with the Patriots, Uche participated in 58 games and recorded 20.5 sacks and 76 total tackles.

When Belichick spoke on “The Pat McAfee Show” in October, he shared his opinions about the move.

During the conversation, Belichick stated, “They (Chiefs) didn’t give up anything in my mind.” “You see, Josh Uche is an excellent rusher. The Patriots have fallen far behind this season, so he hasn’t gotten a chance to rush much. Things haven’t been going well.

Uche is “a rental, playing out a one-year, $3 million contract, but a sixth-round pick is a low price to pay for the back-to-back Super Bowl champions,” according to CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell, who awarded the Chiefs a B grade on the transaction. “New England is obviously in the midst of teardown, which is the right move for the franchise at this stage,” he said, giving the Patriots a C+ grade as well.
