Maxx Crosby Sparks Speculation with Candid Comments on Raiders’ Struggles
Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby shared some blunt thoughts about his team’s ongoing challenges, fueling speculation about his future with the franchise. The Raiders, sitting at a dismal 3-12 record, managed a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday. However, the win did little to mask the deep-rooted issues plaguing the organization. Crosby, frustrated with the team’s repeated struggles, opened up on his podcast, The Rush, about the toll it has taken on him.
“Years of inconsistency,” Crosby vented, via @_terrence_R8er. “New coaches every other year, new teammates… It’s tough, bro.” He expressed disappointment over seeing promising defensive line units dismantled season after season. Crosby’s comments suggest a player drained by the perpetual instability within the Raiders organization.
The 27-year-old, a two-time Second-Team All-Pro, has been a fierce competitor and vocal leader. He strongly backed interim head coach Antonio Pierce during the offseason, even hinting he might leave if the Raiders pursued a different direction. Despite his passionate support for the team, Crosby’s recent remarks reveal growing frustration.
Looking ahead, Crosby’s future with the Raiders appears uncertain. He acknowledged his lack of guaranteed money and indicated important offseason discussions are on the horizon. “There’s a lot to talk about, and I’m looking forward to those conversations,” he said. While he expressed optimism, it remains unclear whether the Raiders will make a long-term commitment to their star player.
Crosby remains a dominant force, tallying 7.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in just 12 games this season despite battling injuries. However, with the Raiders likely to draft a quarterback in April, their rebuilding efforts may delay their competitiveness, complicating the decision to invest heavily in Crosby.
Regardless of what lies ahead, Crosby made it clear he values the Raiders’ fanbase. “The Raider fans have been dope as fk… The support has been the coolest st ever,” he said. For Raider Nation, losing Crosby would mean saying goodbye to not only a playmaker but also a player who genuinely appreciated their loyalty.
