Celtic turned down a £10 million deal from Leeds United for Matt O’Riley.
According to Sky Sports, Celtic has reiterated their position that he is not for sale despite a significant offer from the Whites.
Tuesday night, Sky reported that Leeds was interested in the 22-year-old and that they planned to compete with Southampton for his services.
It would seem that Leeds has taken the initiative, but they have been rebuffed, making it difficult to complete the transaction in such a short amount of time.
Ilia Gruev, a midfielder for Werder Bremen, has already joined Leeds this week, and Glen Kamara of Rangers is expected to follow. It is unclear if another bid will be made in light of these developments.

If they were to close a deal for O’Riley, he would undoubtedly provide some extra inventiveness to Daniel Farke’s team, something they undoubtedly still need.
But this offer does show that Leeds has money to spend if they still want to bolster their squad, suggesting that today’s arrivals are still a possibility.
Nadiem Amiri and Joseph Paintsil, both of whom would have given Leeds extra alternatives in the final third, were sought after acquisitions last week.
Since Leeds has not brought in any replacements for those two players, both of those deals now appear to be all but dead in the water, raising the question of whether business has been concluded.
With outgoings still a possibility, it appears like the remaining few hours of the window will be fascinating.
