More pass-rush output from the defensive tackle position has been one of the Vikings’ constant requirements in previous years. That need is evident once more as they enter another crucial offseason following their defeat in the first round of the playoffs.
This season, the Vikings had outstanding play at both inside linebacker (Blake Cashman, Ivan Pace Jr.) and outside linebacker (Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel), and all four are under contract for the upcoming campaign. However, they received virtually no pressure from a Harrison Phillips-led DT room. That gang was led by Jihad Ward, a Journeyman veteran.
