In addition to providing the Irish with a decent home for the remainder of their sports, Notre Dame’s agreement with the ACC significantly expanded the ACC’s broadcast inventory. Their athletic directors and presidents are pleased with Notre Dame’s high visibility and made sure to schedule as many of those Irish games as possible on an ACC campus during prime time, even if ACC coaches may complain all they want about how unfair the Notre Dame deal is. With Florida State’s collapse and Miami’s failure to rise beyond mediocrity, Notre Dame’s presence helped lead Clemson to a national championship in 2015.
