Given these struggles, Callahan may prefer to bring in a veteran quarterback rather than relying on a rookie. The report mentions that Tennessee could pursue Kirk Cousins, but they also have the option of signing the top free-agent quarterback available instead of executing a trade. Securing a quarterback in free agency would give the Titans more flexibility on draft day, allowing them to target an elite talent at another position, such as Colorado’s Travis Hunter or Penn State’s Abdul Carter. Additionally, keeping their options open could enable them to trade down and accumulate more draft capital for future roster improvements.
